::Writing::

I am not a writer, per se, but I do love to spill words out. Maybe I am a writer? I love going over to 750words.com and just doing it. It is such a great brain dump!
So, please, if you are visiting, come follow me as I start to write again. It's been over 9 months since I've had an entry here. Since then, I've grown and birthed another human and added another fur baby to our family, gave our chickens away, co-founded a local non-profit BWI chapter, finished up LLL accreditation, knit approximately 230434 things for my very warm children, and so many other lovely life happenings. But I haven't written anything about that. That definitely needs to change! I'm excited to bring this space up to date and carve a little corner out for me.
So, hi again!

She is 5!

My sweetest E is 5 already! We had her birthday this week and her party last weekend. She requested a witch party and we had a blast. There were 6 little witches and one little wizard boy in attendance.
We spent the morning decorating muffins together and making a proper mess! 💜
I really cannot believe she is five already. So much has happened over the last five years, starting with my successful home birth with her, to moving, to living, to adding a brother to the family, to starting school this year, and just all the living that happens during five whole years. It has been a great week to celebrate who E is, what she likes, and who she is becoming. When she woke up on the morning of her birthday, I told her that I thought she grew a little bit. Her reaction was adorable.
Here is to five!

{this moment} ~ A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

::for all the books::

It started with a list. The list was all the things we want/need to do to get our house ready to put on the market later this year. Two months later, we are in a new bedroom, with three full rooms that have been painted, three floors just about finished, two doors hung, and many items purged. I'm going to say we are about half way there to done. Our homeschool room, aka the den, is full of crap. Really. That room seems to be the hub for most of the in between, don't know if we are going to keep it, maybe it needs a new home room. But enough about that!
      Would you like to check out our new library? I didn't take a whole lot of before pictures but I'm going to look around on iPhoto for some oldies. After painting the upstairs guest room, I looked around and thought it might jive better if we moved the girls over and possible, if we could fit our king bed up the stairs, move the rest of us upstairs, too. A few hours later, and one king mattress up the stairs, we had our answer! A home library was born!

The progression of this room is as follows: painted room, pulled up carpet, painted room again, finished floors last month, not pictured, but stained and added a closet door, & converted room to library!
We really couldn't be happier with this little room. It finally feels right to us. We have a spot for all of our books, (two of our bookshelves I didn't even take pictures of.) We also moved our tv & fireplace space heater into this room for the occasional movies that we like to watch. I think we can call this room done! At least until I decide to move furniture again :)
